  • Step 5: To start the processing of the form, the applicant must additionally pay the processing cost online or with a demand draft after submitting the form.
  • Step 6: A 15-digit acknowledgment number is generated on an acknowledgment slip following payment of the fees and submission of the PAN Form 49A.
  • Step 7: Within 15 days of submitting Form 49A online, you can either mail the application by courier along with the necessary papers to the UTIITSL office or NSDL PAN office, or you can e-sign it using Aadhaar OTP authentication.
  • Step 8: The PAN number is checked when the acknowledgment form is couriered to the appropriate office, and the card is made after the NSDL/UTIITSL PAN verification. The physical PAN card will be sent to the customer’s address on the form within 15 days.

How to Apply for a PAN Card Offline

You can also apply offline for a PAN card at any PAN agency located in your district:

  • Get a copy from UTIITSL agents or the NSDL office, or download the PAN card application form 49A from the NSDL or UTIITSL website.
  • Complete the form and affix the necessary paperwork (photos, proof of address, and identity documents).
  • Send the completed form, the necessary paperwork, and the processing money to the NSDL/UTIITSL office.
  • The address provided in the form will get the PAN card within 15 working days.
